Strengthening Animal Health and its Economics through PPP

I feel we can even add update on INFAH's own National Seminar which was held in March in New Delhi.

INFAH organised its National Seminar 2025 "Strengthening Animal Health and its Economics through Public-Private Partnership," on March 20th at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi!

We were honoured to have the Hon'ble Minister of State, Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, Prof. Dr. S P Singh Baghel, preside over this vital event. His insightful address highlighted the crucial role of animal husbandry and our dedicated farmers in driving our economy, while also acknowledging INFAH's significant contributions.

Dr. Shirish Nigam, President of INFAH, shared INFAH's impactful work and expressed optimism for enhanced collaboration to realize the Hon'ble Prime Minister's vision of doubling farmers' income.

The seminar featured exceptional keynote addresses from: Dr. Abhijit Mitra, Animal Husbandry Commissioner, Shri Abhay Mahajan ji, KVK, Deen Dayal Research Institute & Madam Alka Upadhyaya, IAS, Secretary, DAHD.

We were also privileged to have distinguished speakers and panelists, including:

  • Dr. Raghavendra Bhatta, DDG (Animal Science), ICAR
  • Dr. Praveen Malik, CEO Agrinnovate India
  • Dr. Indrajeet Singh, VC, Bihar Veterinary University

The diverse perspectives shared, both offline and online, fostered invaluable discussions on strengthening animal health through robust public-private partnerships.

A key outcome of the seminar is the commitment to prepare a comprehensive note detailing the deliberations and outcomes, which will be shared with the Hon'ble Minister and the Department of Animal Husbandry. This will help to provide an actionable plan to move forward.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all the speakers, panelists, participants, and our dedicated team for making this seminar a resounding success. Let's continue working together to build a healthier and more prosperous future for our animal husbandry sector!
