Veterinarians across the country celebrated World Veterinary Day on 29th April' 2017. INFAH commemorated the occasion with its participation in Anand, Bengaluru, Delhi and Mandya. At Anand Veterinary College – AAU, a technical seminar on 'Antimicrobial Resistance- from Awareness to Action' was organised in collaboration with Gujarat Veterinary Association – GVA, while at Veterinary College KVAFSU – Bengaluru, free healthcare and fodder distribution camps were organised for companion animals and livestock respectively. At Delhi, the Vets of Delhi and NCR organised technical seminar and get together which was attended by majority of practicing companion animal Veterinarians and Veterinarians associated with MCD, DADF and ICAR. At Mandya, a technical seminar was organised in collaboration with KVA for Field Veterinarians. The events had participation of State and Centre employed Veterinarians, private companion animal Vets and academicians along with eminent Vets viz Dr V R Madhavadia, President, GVA; Dr Hita Patel, Director, Department of Animal Husbandry (Gujarat); Dr A K Srivastava, Member, ASRB, New Delhi; Dr N C Patel, Vice Chancellor, AAU and many others.
