INFAH and its member companies participated in 19th Indian Veterinary Congress and XXVI Annual Conference of Indian Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Research (IAAVR) and National Symposium on "Innovative Progress in Animal Health and Production for Safe and Secured Food under One Health perspective" organised on 1-2nd February 2019 at West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences (WBUAFS), Kolkata. The conference was participated by around 250 Veterinarians working with Universities, Ministries, Allied sectors and the Animal health industry. Eminent personalities who graced the dias were Dr. N. H. Kelawala, Vice Chancellor, Kamdhenu University; Dr. Y. Hari Babu, Vice Chancellor, SVVU; Prof. Purendu Biswas, Vice Chancellor, WBUAFS; Dr. C. Balachandran, Vice Chancellor, TANUVAS; Maj. Gen. Shrikant Sharma, President of the National Academy of Veterinary Sciences and many others.
The conference had nine technical sessions, poster presentation and Young Scientist Award competitions. INFAH Managing Committee members, Dr. D. K. Dey and Dr. Arun Atrey also participated / chaired sessions. Other industry professionals also actively participated during the proceedings of the conference especially the sessions on AMR, molecular biology and biotechnology and clinical interventions.
