Indian Federation of Animal Health Companies (INFAH) and Indian Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Research (IAAVR) had co-organised a Round Table on 'Guidelines for Antimicrobials Standards in Livestock Healthcare' during the 16th Indian Veterinary Congress, 23rd Annual Conference of IAAVR and National Symposium at College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT), Bhubneshwar on 27-28th February' 2016. The proceedings of the same was released by Dr Trilochan Mohapatra, Secretary and Director General, DARE and Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR); Dr Manmohan Singh, Special Chief Secretary, Government of Andhra Pradesh; Dr R K Singh, Director and Vice Chancellor, Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI) and Executive committee of IAAVR during the inaugural session of 17th Indian Veterinary Congress and XXIVth Annual Conference of IAAVR and National Symposium on 'Newer Generation Vaccines, Diagnostics for Improvement of Animal Health and productivity vis-à-vis Genomic Interventions for the social benefit' on 8th April' 2017.
The proceeding includes an overview of the Animal health antimicrobials, their role, market and regulations to ensure prudent and judicious use of these antimicrobials. All presentations of the round table are included in the proceedings to provide a complete view on the subject. The proceeding is a collaborative effort of INFAH and IAAVR edited by Dr Rishendra Verma, Mr Vijay Teng and Dr Nitin Bhatia.
